Regrettably Thunder Force Kennels is sad to report that HRCH Drake's Thunder Force SH had to be put to sleep due to complications from Stage 5 heartworm disease. He showed absolutely no warning signs of Heartworm Disease until he was already in Stage 4 and was then unfortunately diagnosed as "Untreatable". During his last days with us he lived like a true king and was catered to as such. We had already decided to abolish his suffering in the immediate future. However. on May 24th he suffered a pulmonary embolism and with tears in our eyes was taken to be put to sleep. He's now buried by our pond underneath an Oak tree along with his favorite bumper. Between training, competition and 9 hunting seasons, he completed thousands upon thousands of retrieves and he loved every single one! He's produced dozens of high caliber pups that went on to surpass his titles and nearly 120 duck dogs each of which turned out to be a "chip off of the ol' block". Drake was truly a Champion's Champion, he will be missed by everyone that he came in contact with and especially by those who had the priviledge of hunting over him!
