Mikey's first duck. Thunder Force Kennels is owned and operated by Chris Anders and his wife Joy with the help of their son Mikey and daughter Melody. They share his passion for Retrievers and Retriever sports. Mikey,at five years old started competing in the Puppy stakes at Hunt Tests where he's earned several ribbons. Mikey has also started his duck hunting career with the 2006-2007 Hunting Season he was able to harvest a duck on his first outing and at age 7 killed his first banded duck, a double banded Gadwall hen. Chris Anders has nearly thirteen years experience in retriever training and over twenty years hunting experience. Chris competes in both AKC and UKC Hunt Tests and is currently preparing a few dogs for AKC Field Trials. Chris trained as part of the Retriever Department at the largest dog training facility in the world, Triple Crown in Hutto, TX. Chris is also a proud member of Sportdog Brand's Pro Staff, Drake Waterfowl's Field Expert Team, Briley Mfg Pro Staff and Rehydrate's Pro Staff. In addition to these positions Chris spends his winter as a waterfowl guide for Stack Em Up Waterfowl to see some of our dogs in action book a hunt or two with Chris and enjoy all that Stack Em Up Waterfowl has to offer. Chris is currently a member of the Professional Retriever Trainer's Association, The Hunting Retriever Club, Delta Waterfowl and Ducks Unlimited and National Sporting Clays Association. Thunder Force Kennels regularly donates training to Delta Waterfowl and Ducks Unlimited where they auction our training to raise money for wetlands conservation.
